I have just rung my insurers to renew and try to better my premium but told them about two penalties i have had for speeding, i thought that i had told them before but realise now they have auto-renewed me each time and i did not think to call and let them know, i tried to cancel with them before but they would'nt let me

now they want to back charge me £560 for the points on my liecence, do i have to pay them? will they take me to court. I don't see why i owe them seeing as i have cancelled my insurance with them and they never discovered that i had the points and are only penalising me in hindsight?

Eddie's right Lucy.
Usually insurance companies are looking for (or ask you about) info for the last 5 years .. any endorsements or fines.
Seems a lot they want .. robbery in fact, considering that the difference for a couple of speedies would be way away from that sum. They probably think you are easy meat.
Crank up the Meercat on the web : )
