Has anyone purchased car insurance online with Aviva (Norwich Union)

Am getting new car next week, current insurer which is via a local broker is quite pricey compared to Aviva online which is half the price. I just wonder if it's too good to be true, has anyone purchased from them and been happy with service? TIA

I used to work for Aviva and you have the beneifts of a big company. Like any other insutance company though, watch what you're buying as they always offer the lowest price but not always the full cover. A high excess also lowers the premium, so the quote could be with for example a £600 excess, but if you only want a £100 excess the price will go up. The quoted price may not also give extra cover, like legal cover etc. Don't look at the price but check what cover you have for that price.
