Does anyone know how long it takes for a settlement figured to be paid out? The other part has accepted liability and the medical report were submitted mid December.

after my car accident the other party admitted liability immediately.. and it took 4 years for me to get my pay out.

so maybe hold off booking that cruise!
i am inclined to agree with sara - time will probably be measured in years
Five years after the side accepted liability, followed my many many medical reports
Depends on the nature of the injury and whether they need to wait to see if there are any long term effects. My husband suffered a whiplash injury in July 2007 and received a full settlement the following January.
They may offer a quick settlement figure in the hope you might take a low offer but if you are holding out for a decent payout it could take at least 12 months and maybe several years if it's a bigger claim. What sort of compensation/injuries/loss of earnings etc are you claiming- the more it is the longer it will take usually.

It is for a whiplash, with a healing time of 6 months, and about 1000 on loss of earnings, and 500 for cancelled holiday.
So is your claim around 5000? Maybe it will be settled within 6-12 months, particularly if they make reasonable quick settlement offer. But if it goes to court and further reports are needed it could be 18 months
Mine was for a broken leg in a car accident, it took 3 years to receive a 5000 payment.
