a friend has been told that she has myelodysplasia, a very, very mild form of luekemia. she has been quoted hundreds of pounds for worldwide travel insurance for a year, she wants to go to Thailand for one month. does anyone know of any company that is very good at this type of insurance, thankyou in advance.

There are a number of Insurers who specialize in this market, for people with pre-existing medical conditions. I managed to get some reasonable quotes a year or two back, despite the fact that I suffer from multiple myeloma. Just Google it and I'm sure you will find something.

Alternatively, is there a helpline for people with myelodysplasia? You could also go onto the Myeloma UK website, as they have information on this subject.
