Only the leaves and stems (tubers) are poisonous, but potatoes should only be fed in small quantities to dogs.
The sort of amount that would be considered 'leftovers'
(not that I have any leftovers!). Can't see any reason to feed a dog potatoes in any sort of quantity.

we grown our own vegetables and all our labs have harvested potatoes and carrots from out of the garden with no ill effects.. Infact I think they help to keep their teeth in good order
A friend of mine would feed his two young labradors on leftover potatoes and veg with a bit of gravy, giving them meat only every third day. You've never seen dogs in such good condition as those two.
My Murphy dog loves to sit and wait for his potatoes, carrots and turnips when I am preparing a stew and there is nothing wrong with him at all. IIf there is any left over sunday roast he enjoys nothing more than to partake!

n fact it is quite curious how he knows what I am preparing. It is like our Freddy cat who knows when I have cheese and Sooty cat knows what a tin of tuna being opened sounds like from miles away/
my puppy class teacher recommended us to give our pup jakect potato to calm her down, but nothing happened after i gave her potato for a week apart she started fussy to her own food, so i stopped it.
She may have meant sweet potato, they make them sleepy. Good for bonfire night!
