A friend has told me that if the owner of a parcel of land adjoining my property has done nothing to it for a period of seven years, and that I solely have tended it during that period, I can claim it as mine.
Does anyone know where I can find out more information about this please?

No, it's not like that at all. Go to here and read LRPG 004 and LRPG 005.
Well it is sort of like it. You have to establish factual possession, and so tending it is essential and fencing it off assists.
No, it is not "sort of like it" at all. Tending has nothing to do with it and you have to regard fencing in the correct context for it to have any meaning.
As usual, Mustafa, you delight in giving people half answers to their questions but pulling others answers about. You're a waste of space.
