I have just caught a repeat episode of " Pimp My Ride UK" - the car modification show for Boy Racers.

The presenter is a White DJ in his twenties (?) called Westwood who talks and acts like he is "Down with the Youth" complete with Gang Signs and much talk of " Respec", " Chillin'" and " Holler"

About as authentic as a 9 Dollar note , is he possibly the model that Sacha Baron-Cohen took for Ali G?

Im sure he will love you for saying hes in his 20s....he was born in 1957

No doubt SB-Cohen has used a bit of him in Ali G.

But he is a "proppa Gansta"..some dog tried to cap him word!

Well they shot him in the arm..

They were probably holding the Gun in that sideways Gangsta style - notoriously inaccurate !

Im surprised at his age!

Tim westwood is a total nob in my opinion. He needs to invest in a mirror and double check his skin colour, before talking like some comptom gangsta!
DJ Westwood's name is uttered in hushed reverent tones in our house by my three young adult offspring, he is a near millionaire and so he has got something right
I'd really like to believe that Westwood, like those other children of Lowestoft The Darkness, is a master of self-parody, but as that would require some wit and intelligence on his part, I highly doubt it.

Tory leader David Cameron once accused Westwood's show of encouraging knife and gun crime. He's got a point. Every time I hear Westwood, I have an urge to commit knife or gun crime. Against Westwood. :-) Did anyone actually witness the "drive-by shooting" or were the bullet wounds self-inflicted to make him seem more...erm..."gangsta"? Cynical, moi?
Westwood plays some really good music, but I don't know anybody that actually likes him. In fact, he plays a club near me now and then got bottled on the last 2 occassions. Popular guy.
I love listening to Westwood, because he confirms that I am now officially 'old' because I don;t understand what the heck he's talking about! He does seem very excited about something, and occasionally other young men join him, and they seem equally excited as well, about whatever, and then they play incomprehensible music and shout about that too.

His dad's a bishop you know.
westwood is about 100 and thinks he's a gangsta. yeh cuz there are gangsters called tim
He just makes me laugh each time I hear him, and cringe.

Do you think he talks like that all the time, when he's at home, surely not possible?
