What is the best Radar Detector to buy?

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but really need to know if you can legally use a Radar Detector in the U.K. I think there may be some difference in the laws in Scotland, but need to keep my licence if I am to become a Same Day Courier. If it is possible to use one, can any of the ABers here recommend one to me?

Have they ever saved your licence?

Stick to the speed limit, you wont need one. I drove for years as a courier and never used one and never got a ticket. Plan your route and you dont need to break he speed limit

Don't take on any deliveries which you can't deliver without speeding. Not worth the risk.
