Included in my State pension is "Dependant Allowance" for my wife, who has no income. She was 60 in January, so from 6th Nov 2011 will get full State pension in her own right.
Questions
1/ What is the income limit, to qualify as a dependant?

2/ Do the pensions people pick up on her State Pension qualification date automatically (they have all the data) or do I have to notify them?

3/ Is the Dependant Allowance an annual grant, or does it cease automatically when her State Pension starts?

Hello there,
I have Googled for your question, and surprise surprise it's a very complicated and somewhat fruitless quest.Even the government webpages don't answer your query definitely.
I would contact your nearest Pension Office and ask them,I have always found them helpful.
