Arrggghhhh - help with jammed microwave door!

I have a built in microwave and we haven't been able to get the door to open on it since Saturday - there is a cup of milk inside!

The problem seems to be mechanical rather than electrical. It has a push button to open it and I don't know if there is a spring or something that should fling the door open when you push the button in, but nothing happens!

I can get the microwave out of the unit, but it is difficult to do much in terms of opening it up by taking of panels etc. as there is a cup of milk inside.

It is a neff make if that makes any difference.

All help gratefully received.

Neff? or naff?
Sorry, but you knew somebody would say that!

lol ginge - maybe a bit of both - can't really complain actually, it was fitted when the house was built so is over 8 and a half years old now - just don't fancy the £400 to replace it (and a couple of quid for the cup!).
If you intend to attempt a repair, you are going to have to get at the rear of the button; so you will HAVE to get a panel off, somehow. Good luck!

was thinking that if I cook the milk for long enough it should evaporate and therefor a) not get too smelly and b) mean that I can turn the thing upside down. The other option is to smash the sodding thing to bits!!!
