bunged up dishwasher

I have quite an old Bosch dishwasher, which has never been a problem until today. I just opened it after it had run a cycle, and there was murky water lying at the bottom. I've got all the water out by hand, and picked out 1 kernel of sweetcorn and 1 pea (hardly an unusual event in this house!).

is it very risky to just run it again? is there anything I can add to clean through the drainage area?

right, update. I've just noticed that the dial that shows where it's at in its cycle was at the halfway mark. I've checked the plug, and daughter has knocked the switch off :o/

lol.. I feel proper stupid!

she once flicked the switch of the fridge-freezer. I thought the light bulb had blown so pulled it out, the realised the whole thing was switched off. I couldn't get the bulb back in, and the fridge remained in darkness for over a year, until I called someone out (I had cover) and he changed the whole light unit.

feel free to send a bill to her via FB! and sorry again x

apologies to you, too. you can send her a bill, too :o) x
i sometimes have water in the bottom of machine and i just rerun it again but dont put any tabs in.make sure you top up with salt though
Question Author
thanks Kate, I stopped using salt for a while when the tabs I bought said they had salt in them.. but that's not effective at all, so I went back to adding salt.
