It is amazing, here we have yet another illegal immigrant, who has cheated the state out of thousands of pounds, yet hundreds of people who would normally be up-in-arms and crying out for Miss Ngazana and her family to be chucked out of the country, are now appealing for them to remain, why? because one of her daughters has been on X Factor.

/// Miss Ngazana, 38, had leave to remain in the country with her dependants until August 29 this year.///

/// However, she is believed to have claimed child tax credit and working tax credit worth thousands of pounds during her eight-year stay – which is against immigration rules.///

Absolutely not.

The law is for everyone, or else it is dulited to the point of irrelavence.

As usual, the media is fanning the flames and whipping up the frenzied reaction of individuals who really think that an apparently 'unfair' decision on a reality TV show should exempt an individual from the rules and regulations that apply to everyone else.

If this family are illegals, they should be depoted, as should all illegals - vocal talents, combined with popularity in a TV show are not, as far as i am aware, part of the resident status critera.
I didn't know she was an illegal immigrant. If this is so how come she'd applied to renew her visa?
Miss Nhengu is facing deportation to Zimbabwe after Home Office officials alleged that her mother, Nokuthula Ngazana, was wrongly claiming benefits.
"yet another illegal immigrant"

No she isn't! she may have claimed benefits she shouldn't have done but she was here quite legally...

Still, when most mail readers ever let the truth get in the way of a good news story!

/// Immigration officials confirmed that her mother, Nokuthula Ngazana, had been refused permission to stay in the UK after her visa expired in August.///

This is not from the Mail but from a BBC report.

Since Nokuthula Ngazana, has been refused permission to stay in the UK, she and her family have been illegals since August.

At least that is how I see it.

Since August, yes not a very long time I agree, but I was merely defending an accusation of reporting untruths.

LOL chas, they'll all be coming round Christmas carolling........ "Please put a penny in the old mans hat"
So much for all the people on here who say "asylum seekers and illegal immigrants cant claim benefits".

Yet again we are shown as a country who will give money to anyone and everyone who asks for it.
Deport her !! Any appeals can be conducted from where she is sent back to. Does anyone consider the the thousands of taxpayers pounds that are squandered on these friviolous procedures aimed only at thwarting the immigration laws and lining m'learned friends' pockets ??
