cannot find msiexec

help!! my computer keeps saying cannot find msiexec when i put a cd into the tray.i ran a search and it cannot be found, so obviously i will need to download the missing file.I have just spent over an hour looking on the web to no avail, can anyone suggest a decent, easy to understand, site where i might be able to retrieve this missing (file)?

As an afterthought, what system are you running - I could send you a copy of mine to see if that would be compatible ?? its only 63KB so I could even e-mail it to you ?? Im running Windows XP
