When is the UK turning off analogue radio and converting to all-digital? Why hasn`t digital radio taken off? My DAB radio used to have quite a few stations I could listen to but one by one they all seem to have disappeared. There are just a handful of BBC stations, plus Heart. I`m listening to my local radio station at the moment and they are fantastic but they`re still on analogue. With the possible demise of stations like that, will we have a dearth of good stations come switch-off time?

I have no idea when the radio change takes over. It may never do as the take up of DAB sets is not as fast as expected. Also the revenue model for stations has proven over-optimistic and several have given up as you know.
Along with ever-increasing internet capability some people reckon broadcasting through the air in any form is in terminal decline.
ive seen a report that analogue "radio" may not be switched off because of the millions of car radios that have this type installed
Apart from digital photography, most of the digital revolution is unsuccessful.

How many time do you hear "switch off, pull out the plug, wait a few minutes, now plug back in, and switch back on, this will cure most faults"?
