Now the horrid kiddlewinkles are due to return to school, I want to resume my Friday afternoon sessions of a swim followed by the above 3 water-based indulgences. At the best of times, people on here have commented on the jacuzzis in particular harbouring germs & being infested with all sorts of nasties - is this even more of a risk at the moment with Swine Flu about to take an updive? I don't want to risk SF at the moment; I have a wedding coming up (not mine thankfully), and I have asthma & a heart condition so even though a few days off work would be nice, I'd rather not put myself at more risk than necessary. To jacuzzi or not to jacuzzi - that is the question.

I don't think the Swine Flu virus can survive in a jacuzzi.

The virus is killed off by the high concentration of urine from all the people who have a sneaky wee under the bubbles.

That's an (almost) very sensible answer Seagull - thank you!!

And thank you for answering - I thought I was going to be ignored by people assuming I was being smutty with references towards watersports or something.

Wee in a jacuzzi - yuck. A pool maybe, and definitely the shower... but the jacuzzi. How distasteful and common.
But nobody notices.

The big, yellow cloud (from the dehydrated people) is dispersed by the bubbles.

But, seriously ... a public jacuzzi should contain chlorine, like a swimming pool, which will kill germs.
cover yourself to to toe in antic bac gel then wrap youself in cling film and hop or slither in. you should be ok

That's what I thought JJ - but my boyfriend (who is rather fussy, particular & a complete hypochondriac bytheway) is horrified I am even thinking of dipping one beautiful toe in a jacuzzi until the swine flu scare is over.

What a wuss.
Salla ...

You are probably safest sitting in a chlorine filled jacuzzi until the epidemic is over.

Obviously you'd end up VERY wrinkled.

mcfluff - that sounds a bit kinky to me and not at all pleasurable.

JJ - daren't risk any more wrinkles - I've already got 3.
