�64,000 per annum for an MP is totally inadequate, but this has been bumped up over the years by dodgy expenses claim.

Quite rightly the expenses have to be re-evaluated, but if they are abolished then the salary of an MP should be doubled.

If they don't like the salary opt out of the job . Try living on JSA for a while and see how they get on.

Some of them may be corrupt, but I would hardly call them monkeys, whatever Political Party you subscribe to.

�65,000 may not be a small fortune but is perfectly adequate for the M P's we have at the moment.
They decided the money wasn't good enough and exploited the expenses system to their own advantage.not one said they were wrong, all said it was in the rules.
well,read the rules,Allowances are reimbursed only for the purpose of a member carrying out his or her parliamentary duties.
does an MP require a duck house to carry out his parliamentary duties ? does an MP's daughter need to live rent free to enable the MP to carry out his Parliamentary duties?
this whole fiasco has nothing to do with an adequate wage,it comes under the heading of greed.
for greed, please read outright theft and fraud, when are
they going to be prosecutred?
