I want to set up a home network. I want have my pc and my xbox360 connected at the same time. The only thing is I want them both to be on a wired connection, is this possible?

I assume you want them both connected to broadband internet at the same time, you just need to get a router suitable for the type of broadband you have (Cable or ADSL). Most routers enable you to plug 4 or 5 things in at once using a wired connection.

for your needs the cheapest will suffice,

This is actually a wireless router, but you can simply switch the wireless off if your not using it and use the wired ports only (it's hard to get a non-wireless router these days)
