Can you be arrested for being drunk whilst riding a bicycle? I mean you're causing a danger to other road users....

I'm not druck, or drunk as it happens.

Riding a pedal cycle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is an offence if the rider is incapable of controlling the cycle. There is no offence of being in charge of a cycle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs but the Licensing act 1912 has an offence of being drunk in charge of a carriage, and a bicycle is a carriage!

besides drinking and riding a bike is stupid anyway, you would spill all that nice alcohol! :o)

Yes and also an horse. I knew two blokes stopped walking home from the pub, one was carrying a battery and the other some fireworks. Police charged one and let the other off.

I have a friend who hasn't got any legs and goes round in a motorised wheelchair and she told me she can be cautioned for being drunk in charge of a vehicle. I'm not kidding. She is dangerous though.
As a catch-all law, I have always believed that it is actually illegal to be drunk in a public place, whatever you are doing.
I think you can. You can also be charged with being drunk in charge of a child which i didn't know. A mate who was a pretty good cyclist once got caught for speeding on his push bike. Doing 34mph in a 30!
"Boom boom" no more like a Whooooos baaang zisssssss
Yes and the bloody cheap skates don't have to pay insurance either.
Drunk in charge of a pair of skates as well?
I've always thought you could be drunk in charge of pretty much anything that could affect others (elephants, bikes, snakes, etc)
