There's no real benefit for the machine of one brand compared to another. Try one or two, and settle for whichever gives the wash results you're happiest with.

Many Thanks Heathfield. I find I have used some of the top brands and it leaves marks on the clothes i am know on to handwash powders which is slightly better but still white stripes on the clothes.
