If no one can help you can use Irfanview, it's a small (less than 1 Mb) free image editing programme which does it. http://www.irfanview.com/
Irfanview is a simple and free photo viewer/editor, available at; http://www.irfanview.com/ Download it, Run th eprogram then choose 'FILE' then ' 'Batch Conversion/Rename'. Tick the 'Use Advanced Options' box, the click the 'Set Advanced Options' button. It's pretty straightforward from there.
Blimey, Drewhound you must have posted at the same time as me! See Arranj, that's two recommendations for Irfanview.
I will also recommend irfanview its the tool I use
Irfanview - in case no-one has mentioned it! It's a tiny file, easy to use and out of four other software packages it's still the only one I ever use.
