Beware of Dishwasher Freshener

I almost had a disaster today when an orange
plastic dishwasher freshener which I had
hanging inside my dishwasher fell onto the
element whilst the dishwasher was on and
started to "burn", Luckily I was there and caught
it in time I opened the dishwasher and the smoke and steam gushed out causing the
smoke alarm to go off, Thankfully a disaster
was avoided, so beware of these fresheners!!
this was the first time my smoke alarm went off
So remember to have a smoke alarm and always check the batteries etc.

omg mary good job you was in at the time ....i will remember this .i just use a dishwasher cleaner liquid thing in mine

best advice: i always follow this, i will NOT and mean NOT use anything unattended at all, and when i am out or in bed. EVERYTHING gets unplugged. and i mean EVERYTHING. barring the fridge freezer for obvious reasons :)
