I stopped seeing my dad because of my stepmum.
She ruined 10 years of my life and now I've got to the point of wanting never see her, but dont have the heart to tell my dad :(
Hi daneswalk.. was noboy there to protect you from this woman?? I hate people that treat children crewly, ive been through some togh times as a child so can understand, but will never understand why people do it??
Wiggal, you shouldnt go through this alone, you should try and talk to your dad about it as this monster shouldnt get away with what she done!
Be polite to her for your father's sake, Wiggal, but you don't have to show any great affection towards your step-mother.

Awww.....got a few tales to tell us, daneswalk? Bless! x
With respect Ice.Maiden, why should he show respect to her? Respect is earnt and you shouldnt show respect to anyone if you dont receive it!
I would speak to my dad, but he is too soft! Thats were I get it from! Wouldnt say boo to a fly, let alone a goose!

When was 10 yrs old and had to sleep on a sofa bed in the front room of her flat, I got scared as there was a fight going on in the flat next door so went to see my dad, and she threw us both out and we had to sleep in the car.
And that was only the start of it!
My dad wasnt allowed to give me a card or present on my 16th birthday, and I stopped going to see my dad not long after.
She has always been jealous of the fact that my dad loves me and my sister aswell as her, as far as she is concerned, she is the only women in his life.

Got to a point where I thought about sdking him to choose, but that just wouldnt of been fair, and the last thng I want is t upset my dad.
I agree with you beck, but if wiggal's dad hasn't noticed the ill feeling in all this time, then he's obviously besotted, and I'm sure wiggal wouldn't want to upset her father by pointing out his new partner's faults.
In this type of situation, I think rather than create further atmosphere, it'd be best to steer as far away from the woman as possible, and just reply in an orderly fashion when spoken to.
Anyway - this is danewalk's thread, and I'm only giving an opinion on the bit of info received. x
Well she sounds like a right bitch! But with respect, your dad shouldnt let her treat you like this as your are his children! It sounds like you dont really have much chance making him see sence so could just be pointless telling him. If you want a relationship with your dad try talking to him and letting him know how she makes you feel, and explain you would like to see him by his-self. Apart from that i wouldnt know what else to try, it sounds like a very tricky situation to be in!
Hey ice, I was just going to say its daneswalk's thread and I have intruded!

Just to say, she isnt a new partner, she has been with my dad 14 years (i'm 21) and they got married 18 months ago.
She is ok to me now, but only because I am with my partner and have been for 4 years, she has always loved him! If I was to see them on my own, I would be ignored completely, but with Alan around she is ok. Probably a good thing as he has wanted to speak to my dad before (my stepmum was refusing to go to my sisters wedding becuase my sister was marrying a women) and my dad wanted to go. Eventually my stepbrother talked her round, but she was rude and insulted my sister to me at the wedding when I was cheif bridesmaid! I said to my other half that I didnt want him to get involved in the nasty stuff, because partly its not down to him, and also because he is the only chance I know have left to see my dad.

Anyway, sorry daneswalk! 'll leave your thread alone now!

Bless, wiggal - and I CAN appreciate the dilemma. Glad things are a little better for you now, for whatever reason - but just keep seeing your dad. xx

Apologies daneswalk. xx
a parent that can't see that things are compromised by the presence of a step parent, and try to intervene to compensate, was not a parent worth associating with in the first place. You have to get out of such a situation. Sad, but true.
See aaaabbbbcccc, he'll give you some rat poison.
