In Photoshop CS3, how do you get your brushes and text to be multi-tonal? As in have different colours in them as opposed to just being one block colour.

Don't have CS3 (unfortunately) but in Photoshop Elements you just type your text and select an attractive/appropriate layer style which you simply double-click & there-you -have it!

In PS proper- I think you can create a layer and fill with a gradient and then apply new text and select a blending mode to eg. color dodge which will shine thru the white text. You might want a fairly 'beefy' font at a good point size....
