I have some vinyl foil which I want to apply to an end panel on a kitchen cupboard. I have seen this being applied using heat from a hair dryer, but can anyone advise exactly how much heat is required and how is it applied . i.e. is the foil held in place and then heat applied to the front or is it best to heat the back of the foil and then apply to the surface? Would appreciate any advice.

gave an answer in your other posting. As to heating I'd be wary of heating, being a callendered film it will almost certainly shrink and distort very easily when heated to any extent.Wonder if you are thinking of the film sometimes used in double glazing?in this case you anchor all round(double sided tape) getting as tight as possible, then heat with hairdrier to make the film shrink taut and wrinkle free.
