ipod trouble

Have a recent 80Gb iPod Classic.

Working fine up to now.

However when I attempt to sync it these days with iTunes, the iPod does not show on PC screen OR in iTunes. (

am Using Apple Max 10.4 and have updated my versions of iTunes etc.

What is happening?

Noticed problem after I downloaded two songs on attachments onto desktop from a friend in US (PST not Greenwich does that make any difference).

Failed later o load those two tracks to my iPod...and since then iPod has refused to show itself at all!!

Any help appreciated.

Answer to my own question! Have tried re-set and it solved issue.
