If it's like most cars, disconnect the battery leads. Undo the wires from the back of the starter motor (held on by nuts). The starter motor has a flange which usually has a bolt in the top and bottom (some have three bolts but not likely on a Ford). These bolts hold the starter motor in place. Undo these (often fiddly and almost inaccessible), remove old starter motor. Support starter motor when udoing bolts. It's probably best to borrow ramps or jack the front of the vehicle up using axle stands and chocks behind the rear wheels to gain better access. Fitting the new one is this procedure in reverse. This is not a difficult job but it can be fiddly and dirty. Make sure the battery is disconnected before starting work as the back of the starter motor has a live feed straight from the battery. You will probably need spanners and sockets to do this job. The bolts holding the motor in will almost certainly be 13mm or 17mm
