I had exactly the same symptoms after strong winds. Turned out the dish was loose on its mount. Retightening the securing bolts did the trick. Hope yours is as easy. Cheers, Andy

I had this problem I had to purchase a digital aerial and everything was fine and has been since

Phone Sky, they will tell you whats wrong.

Perhaps dinoboxer has the answer, he managed to fit a digital aerial that picks up Sky, amazing !

has it got adequate ventilation? these units generally run hot, and lock up especially if they're buried under a pile of other gear or in an enclosed cabinet. try keping it apart if that is the case

i had the same problem, turns out the casing on the cable had split and let water in and it had eroded some of the fibres. might be worth a check!
