Got new back brakes fitted yesterday. This evening after a short journey (12miles) I noticed a burning smell coming from the back of the car. Checking the back wheels, I discovered that the alloys were really hot to the touch and in a bit of a panic I chucked a bottle of water round them which produced an unbelievable amount of steam. I had the car out on several other short trips earlier today but didn't notice anything. The problem is, I need the car first thing in the morning and won't be able to get to a garage until later. All advice gratefully received!!

Sounds like they adjusted the rear brakes up too much - only thing to do is take it back and get them to put it right.
