resizing an image on a computer

I have a picture that I have down loaded
but it's come on my computer in full size
I want to be able to shrink it enough to use
as a cd cover, has anyone any idea's or do I need
to download something like image shack

Have you tried Picasa, its free and also an excellent package from Google.

You could use a program called CoverXp Pro. It resizes any image to the size of the back and fronts of cd and dvd covers, its great.

you could transfer the picture to paint if you have that on your somputer but it's very fiddly.
I usually insert it into Word, then right click to format the picture and type in the size I need - usually 12 by 12 for a cd cover.
