Not sure about St Albans but Lynch's in Watford )just by Watford Junction) is an Irish pub playing traditional Irish music Sundays
I've been in Lynch's and it is VERY Irish! O'Neills is a chain and they tend to play pop / rock, although the one nearest my home in Oxford has live bands every week.
natalie-1982 - did you go to The Wellington Arms across from Lynch's when you were in Watford. It's my second home!
I think there is also an Irish pub called The Globe on St Albans Road (top end near Dome roundabout) although not sure it is "traditionally Irish". I think people in there are quite middle aged. I drink in The Welly (by the Junction) and there is a huge range of ages in there. I am spoken for but I would say the ration of men to woman in there is 6:1, and with the exception of probably two blokes, all the rest are lovely.

You're welcome red.
Luton is not too far from St. Albans and has some lovely Irish pubs like O'Shea's and Club Erin.x
I worked in St Albans now I work in Luton. I wouldn't say that St Alban's has that big an Irish community but Luton does. It has some great Irish bars that are real abd not themed...
