I want to insure my laptop against accidental damage but I no longer have the receipt and am unable to get one

Is there therefore any point in taking out insurance since surely i'll need the receipt if i need to make a claim?

Please can anyone advise

Thanks - Mkjuk

Mine is included on my household insurance. If you break it the loss adjuster will be able to see it.

Check your household insurance for accidental damage to laptops! It only takes a quick call.
most insurance company have all the data they need on prices for any articles, you know how much you paid for it,so just tell them, recept is not needed
