how do i record off the TV on my laptop?

At the moment i wouldnt even know how to start watching any tv on it !

Hey,

i know you can watch certain progs from channel 4 by downloading www.4od.com, things like ER, skins, Ugly Betty....theres a charge of about 99p for the downloads but its worth it if you've missed suff!!
not sure about any other channels,

Or you can buy a TV receiver, that slots into one of your USB ports to receive free-to-air channels; like freeview.
