i want to start up my own site but i am unsure off a good place to but it from any suggestions??
also once you have got your site how do you make it so people can become members? such as ebay

I would suggest that if you need to ask how to set up a site like ebay then you are certainly not ready to run one.

A novice composer went to a music teacher once and asked him to show him how to write a symphony. The music teacher told him that writing a symphony was extremely complex and could not be undertaken by just anyone. The novice composer pointed out that Mozart was writing symphonies when he was six years old. To which the music teacher replied "Yes, but he didn't have to ask."

I think the same applies here.
