Its a bit difficult to do much unless you have 2m by 2m of space for it. Unless you just want a shower in it - not a bath.

The positioning of waste pipes will affect the possible placing of the shower, basin, and toilet, which will in turn determine how much space is required. Having the ensuite door open outward will help. See the bigger DIY manuals for minimum recommended spacing, (like around two feet in front of a toilet, and a wash basin).

i once watched an episode of Property Ladder where Sarah Beeney said that you could fit a shower room in 1.2 sq metres!

I was v surprised and had to rewind to check that's what she said!
