Hi Im really stuck, I bought a petrol Generator Module 3000CL 2.5kva,
It has a 240VLT/115VLT + 12VLT wiring panel at the side of the frame.
My problem is when I first bought it, I did not need it straight away, anyway 2 years later ,I bring it out of storage and the engine works fine, but there is no power coming from any of the plugs, I have had a look at the wiring on this, and it looks similiar to the Marksman module but, I can not confirm as I dont have a wiring diagram, Im not even sure by the look of the wiring if its wired up correctly,or if the electrics on the generator work, But I must add that the little Amp metre on the front gos backwards and forwards, any help towards solving this issue would be appreciated.

Have you tried a search on Google? needed wiring diagram for old piece of equipment and managed to find it. Cannot help otherwise. Sorry Good Luck
have you looked for any fuses?
obvious but often over looked.give them a riggle or remove and refit to check no corrosion on thier contact points/areas
also,
undo all connector blocks, wd40 them and do same to switches and connecters to switches. corrosion is a big possibility.

Hello All
Answer to first question, I have been going round in circles on Google to no avail, searching for manuals wiring schematics, As stated before it looks similiar to the Marksman model 3000Cl, as for Fuses idea, thanks for info but have already tried and refitted new ones as well as new sparky and Lead,
Its weird it registers power coming through on the Amp meterm as the revs go up the amp meter moves more but in fact no power what so ever is coming through the plugs. After closer inspection, It looks like the wires have been tampered with as it does not make sense how it is wired up, I have a multi metrethat will test up to a 1000 volts, So if I new how to check the generator power output direct , I would but because I have no Manual its like blind mans buff, and I dont want to short it out, Its brand new still in box )Well now 2 years old but never used)
but, I never checked it out when I got it unfortunatly have already tried with supplier but warranty has run out, Im not afraid of stripping it and rebuilding but need Guidlines or Ideas to put me on the right tracks. Anyway Once again Thank you all for your efforts and all that read this in trying to help me.
could you not get the docs from the manufacturer

I have asked for copies of the manuals, But im being told they sell the items and are not the actual manufacturers of the Generators, I have also asked if they can supply the manufacturers address so that I can contact them directly But to no avail,I think its a case of once you have bought item from them they are not interested in what you do anymore (bad Customer Service Department) unless within the year which again is my fault checking. but hey there must be somone out there that can help, One must keep trying,
Hi, this is related to killer sharks problem as i am having the same problem with my marksman 3000cl 6.5k generator, there is no power out and the amp meter on the front only moves a fraction, it is 2yrs old and has approx. 30 hrs use. The fuses are OK and i'm at a loss to find the problem. Any advice welcome.

Hi
Rockitup
Still waiting for someone to give me an idea Have just boxed it back it is brand new but does not work, When I say it does not work the engine starts but there is no power going to the plug points until I can find a Electrician who knows his stuff Im afraid im stuck, If I had a diagram I would check to see if the wiring is correct, but until then its packed away
Hi Guys, your problem of no output is quiet simple. There is a switch Marked Voltage between near the two outlet sockets, this has three positions. Default is in the middle, no power generating, move towards the blue socket for 240v or move left for 110v, that should solve your problem.

Regards.
