old?

Although, there used to be a definition of vintage as being 21 years old (or maybe it was 25) for Road Tax purposes (ie, anything older than that would be exempt), but this was stopped for any vehicle built after 1974
Classic probably, no fixed definition of the term but I guess it would at least have to be out of production.

its a old $hit heap
In US terminology "a Clunker" but in UK I'd go with Steve above!
Banger
scrap
Classic is the correct term.

According to my insurers a car must be 30 years old to be described as 'Vintage'. This is normally decided via enthusiast clubs and insurance agents. So call your insurance company and ask them.
Veteran Older than 1904

Vintage 1919-1930

Edwardian 1905-1918

Post vintage thoroughbred Quality cars 1931-1940

Classic Post 1945

Don't pay tax if built before 1973

If your car is a collectable or quality car it would be a Classic car. It would not be a classic purely because it was built before 1973 though, whatever the insurance companies say.
Just seen your other post, your nissan would be classed as a classic car, if it is good condition!
