Tax free.
just wondering, did anyone win the euromillions on fri. and if not, how many people was it shared out to?
Thanks
Yes it was won - shared quite a few ways, I forget how many. Each winner got several millions thiough
No one won the jackpot, so they shared it between all the holders of 5 numbers and 1 star number (the level below jackpot). There were 20 winners of which 6 were in the UK each getting about 6million.
I bet whoever told you you had to pay tax - offered to pay it in for you.

I'm first to offer - Yes it's taxed - give me the 1 mIllion - I'll pay the 400k tax and give you the 600k back ! LOL (Tongue firmly in cheek !)
The prize itself isn't taxed but if you put it in a savings account then it would be.
