I looked for one of those for years and when it comes to getting one I think it depends on where you live, as I am UK based and they are for sale in the US I never bothered to get one becuse ebay wasn't around then. It maybe on ebay now but ... if you ever look for anything you actually need its never on there lol.

I beleive 'clapper' is the right name. I also found that due to the fact they were produced and sold in the US the connectors were for US plug sockets and not UK so I would have needed an convertor to use it. I can only hope they make UK ones now or there is a uk distributer.
hey Daave,
did girlfriend and you get sorted then or have you found a new pad already (fast work)

It is a attachment for your light so that when you clap you hands in for example your bedroom the attachment picks up/hears the sound and it turns your light on or off.

It is useful for elderly people who cannot get around but mainly for lazy people who can't be arsed to get up off there bottom - the latter is me lol.

I am unsure whether the attachment fits between in bulb and its bulb socket or between the lamp plug and wall socket. I am sure I have seen them used on ceiling lights and as they have not plug/mains socket that would suggest the first bulb option If it was the latter plug option they could be used for anything fan, tv, radio, etc.
