I have a Mac but haven't tried an LCD monitor on it.
I amgine that the answer is 'yes' but with qualifications. If the manufacturer does not provide a Mac driver, then you may not be able to use all features of the monitor. For example, it may only work at low resolution.
The answer's basically yes. As with what gen2 said, also check that the port on the back of your mac is the same as the one your monitor accepts (adapters are available).
I have a mac and it runs fine on my LCD Monitor.
The Mac Mini concept is designed so that you can plug in your existing (USB) keyborad and monitor (DVI or VGA display - adaptor is included).

I would assume from that, that OS X will cope with most LCD monitors.
