I am beginning to get quite angry and need some advice.. For about a year there has been a particular person who somehow appeared on my list of Hotmail contacts, although i have blocked her from my msn chat as i do not know who the hell she is, she keeps forwarding frightening chain mail to me, i get a couple each week! At the end of the e-mails she says if i don't pass it to a certain number of people somethig bad will happen to me! I don't usually believe in this but as you can imagine it is very frightening! I am a mum and i'm pregnant again and have enough bad luck in my life anyway without this person adding to it!

How can i block and get rid of her for good?

Thanks

i believe there is a facility to send feedback to msn. open msn select help then send feedback. hopefully they can help you out here. there are terms of use which do state:-

you may not use the service in any way which is against the law. you may not use the service to send or receive messages that are inappropriate. some examples of the types of messages that we do not permit include:-

using the service to participate in pyramid schemes or chain letters!

as you can see you are perfectly within your rights to return an e mail to this person stating that if they persist in forwarding these types of e mail to you you will contact msn and report them. if they keep on after this i would not hesitate to inform msn.

good luck and congrats on baby.

Easiest method is perhaps as fender says, to just sign up for a new name, and tell only those who you want to know it what it is.

Also don't worry about the thing at the end of the emails. That's not her writing that message, it's just what's been put on the end of the chain mail by the first person who created it, as a way to try and get people to send it out. Often they say "send this to 10 people and a beautiful girl will kiss you," or sometimes things not quite as nice.
