Some guy (with 0 previous purchases) clicked the Buy It Now link on my auction, waited a day then sent me an email saying:

"Compliment of the day,I am Mr Herbert Isaac From USA, but prensently in holland on a business trip. I saw your item advert on ebay and i'm interested in buying it for my son who is studying a Computer Science Course in the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Get back to me as soon as possible and don't forget to send me the total cost including the cost of shipping to Lagos, Nigeria.
I will be sending you my payment via PayPal,So kindly send me your (PAYPAL EMAIL ADDRESS) so as to immediately make out my payment.Make sure you get the package ready for immediate or next day shipment okay?.Plz i want the item to be shipped via Royal Mail First Class Express shipping to Nigeria. Expecting your reply so as to immediately make out my payment.
Regards"

Sounds totally bogus to me, especially when I explicitly stated that I only ship to UK. Do I just mark the auction as "payment not received" to have it listed again as it was?

Sounds a bit suspect to me too! I'd list it again if I were you and forget about that time-wasting idiot.
Sorry fo3nix, I just realised that wasn't the question you were asking. Oops.
The very best advice I can give you is to post this link:

I knew you'd come to the rescue Ethel, thanks!

As it happens the buyer had already been removed from eBay anyway. Relisted though.
Seen this many times, its a total scam
THIS IS A SCAM!!! DONT DO ANYTHING OF THE SORT!!! Dealing with nigeria is notorious. Its the credit card crme capital of the world.
SCAM deffo !
Have a look at www.whatsthebloodypoint.com and have a play with them. As long as you don't give them any of your bank details of card details, they can't get anything from you. Let them send you money!!!
