Is it possible to use a coloured toner in a mono laser printer? I have an old toner cartridge that I was thinking of having it filled with a blue toner, are there any problems in changing from one colour to the other? Will there be a residue left in the printer that would affect the other toner?

I can't think of any reason why this wouldn't work...
You'll need to make sure the particle size isn't different mind. I have no idea where you'd get this info from though.
