i'm just getting the hang of azureus and torrents, having previously used Limewire to download things, and I have a question. I found a 5 steps to downloading thing and used it to find the movie i wanted, but went it got to a hundred percent, it went to the bottom of the screen and is now "seeding". what does this mean? do i actually have the movie? i dont understand. can a torrent user please explain and talk me through this?

you have the movie now
when you finish downloading, it moves to the other window in azureus, where your completed files 'seed' for others to download. It is considered good etiquette to leave this here until you have a share ratio of 1 (ie you've uploaded the same as you downloaded). If no-one did this, file sharing wouldn't work.
If you move the file, the seedng wont work, but if you extract it from a rar archive or something similar, it wont affect you're seeding.
When you condsider you've done enough seeding, right click on the file in the seed section and select delete->both to remove the file and the torrent from your pc.

thanks bob, but how do i watch the movie? in limewire the file downloaded and was in my recieved folder as a realplayer file, i just clicked it and it started. azureus leaves all kind of funny stuff and i dont know what any of it is
you will need to download divx player to watch the films on your pc. just click on faq and support if on divx crawler so you can find it to download. you can also google it to find a free download.you will also need to download the divx codecs as well.
p.s
in azureus in main window if you click on tools > options > files this will show you where your downloads are on your pc.
Immi - It depends on what format the file is downloade as.
Is it an avi file?
Is it a bin/cue image file?
is it a wmv file?
is it any of the above archived in a rar (series of files with extensions .r01 .r02 etc or .001 .002 etc)
