How to convert adobe pdf to cad drawing format

i wish to convert Adobe Pdf (drawings/plans of buildings etc.) to AutoCad DWG format > which software can do this? thanks

I thought the whole point of pdf was that it couldnt be changed.

Exactly, Mattk, the reason documents are made in pdf format is so that they can't be altered from the original.

actually, pdf's can be converted to text and you can also copy and paste from a PDF into word. This site - www.pdfonline.com allows you to convert alot of files to pdf online.



If you have Acrobat Professional, you can save a pdf as a jpg or, better for graphics, a png. I think these can be imported into autocad so you could at least use the original as a tracing layer.

You need raster to vector conversion. You can use software such as this or you can get a company to do it for you. The only one I know of personally is Adris in Totton near Southampton, though I can't se the service on their site now.


Generally, this sort of thing isn't enormously successful, but if it's gotta be done, it's a solution!
