Yesterday I saw a ladybird, a bumblebee and a wasp. Does this mean spring has arrived?

Well Liz, our daff's, etc., are opening & the birds & squirrels are very busy flitting around in the garden, so it looks like Spring has sprung at last - yippee!!!!
And our frogspawn (I'm reluctant to mention Frogs! ) is beginning to change shape. I can see the tadpoles beginning to develop. Hope the fish don't eat them all.
Saw first ladybird of the season on Friday - 2 spot. It landed on my hand in the office and scared the hell out of me for a second, so I sent it packing out the window. (it loved it).
i got really excited by the re-emergence of flies recently! And i hate the damn things, woulda mucc preferred to see a ladybird like you did! But yeah i agree with smudge we've got some lovely Daffodils and the birds are singing some spring inducing sounds! Mind you it's done nothing but bucket down today so the optimism may ebb away again!
Light a Cintronella candle when wasps and flies are about, they hate the pong and should stay away.
Yes, have seen several bumbles recently, even flying around in the rain. Guess they must be very hungry to fly in such weather but we have several winter heathers flowering and four large Daphne bushes in full bloom which cause a strong frangrance to drift all over the garden.
