Microchip Cat Flap

I am having a microchip cat flap fitted,(fed up with cats eating my cat's food)
My cat,Stripe,has a little metal tag with his name on and am wondering if this will
affect the workings of the catflap.BTW he is microchipped

Thanks for reply, as you say,will find out,the tag is very thin,shaped
like a cats head,rather sweet,so hoping it doesn't have any affect

I can't see how a metal tag can interfere with a microchip

I had a cat flap fitted which could be set to let them in but not let them out again until a set time the next morning. Is it one of those? If it is my cats wore their usual tags.

Hi,you can set the catflap to stop the cat going out ,same for coming in,or in and out. Or completely locked.
