I’m a glass half full person by nature but listening to Boris address the nation last night I started to think, What if there’s a curfew? It brought it home to me when my daughter rang as soon as she got in from work asking if we needed anything, the OHs son rang us from his home in Norwich asking if we were alright, I thought ‘I’d this what it’s going to be like?
I only have the TV on no more than two hours in the mornings, today there was the Government thing about What is the CV, followed by one in two will get cancer, followed by doing a funeral plan.... put me down now please :0/

" i'm a bit upset for my older family especially grandparents . I hate the thought of them running out of loo roll or food." I suspect they are tougher than you think. Most likely been through a war or lived just after when there were shortages. They will simply get a Free Guardian and cut it into squares with a string through. Just like my mum and dad did in the war.

I'm not worried for myself but i'm quite worried and i'm a bit upset for my older family especially grandparents.
I hate the thought of them running out of loo roll or food.
If my grandparents were the ones in the supermarkets being photographed not being bale to buy toilet paper then that would kill me inside and i'd detest the person who chose to photograph the dire situation plastering their faces over social media.
It's awful, i'm panic buying for other people, that's how i'm going about things.
Not worried for myself in the slightest.

"why don't you just offer to shop for your elderly people when they need shopping?"
That's pretty much exactly what i'm doing? They all need shopping. It's a panic because there is nothing there. If there was an abundance of all produce, it wouldn't be panic buying, would it?
They need enough to survive them at least 2 weeks.

"If selfish people stopped doing that there would be plenty for all."
No there wouldn't.
Dont try put the empty shelves on me Noami, i'm shopping for other people. I'll buy what I want when I can get it no matter what you think, because believe it or not I care more about my families health than being a virtue signaller.

Most people do a weekly shop. It's the done thing for most working class people as we don't have time to go each day.
So in a pandemic such as this, surely it makes sense to instead of do a weekly shop, to try and do a fortnitely shop?
Get what you need when you can get it. I suspect you've not been to the stores in the past couple of days.
At first it was loo roll and pasta. Now it is tinned goods, long life milk, all home baking products including self raising and all the bloody chicken!
