Hi my Tefal food steamer twice now has been leaking and caused a flood on my kitchen worktop.Does anybody know why this has happened please.? I put water in up to the max level. I do not really want to throw it out but if it causes a flood I might have too.

Is it an expensive model? How long have you had it?

Never had a steamer, but I would try putting less water in it and seeing if the problem persists. If it does then consider disposal.

If you do dispose of it I'd replace it with a hob one.
