asbestos in storage heaters

We removed some storage heaters a few years ago and have since been told they probably contained asbestos. ANyone know how much is in storage heaters a lot or a little as we took them to bits! They were creda but dont know model big cream and brown things on the wall with dial on top.

Hi Kat3az,  Having been involved in installing storage htrs many years ago I recall that all the ones I ever saw (and it was lots, Creda included) always had some kind of compacted fibreglass or rockwool type of insulation inside.  If the insulation you removed was in complete pads one for each side and face etc... and it was yellowish or brownish then it was most probably not asbestos.

Anyway what's the point to worry about it, if you have been exposed to asbestos (and I have) what can you do about it,  you cant get a new set of lungs installed just in case you might get trouble later in your life.
