How do I calculate the carbohydrate in 60gms of yogurt when the pot says there is 17.2 in 100gms? it may be easy for some but I am useless at any kind of maths, thanks in advance.

There is 1.72 in 10 grams, so in 60 grams there is 10.32
Or 17.2 x 6 = 103.2 carbs in 600g
So 10.32 in 60g
Divide 17.2 by 100 and you get the carbs per single gram. Then just multiply by 60 to get 60 grams worth.

thanks so much, you are all so clever.
Sometimes it's easier to visualise if you use simpler numbers.
60g is a little bit more than half of 100g, so a 60g pot will contain a bit more than half the carbs. So a reasonable estimate is a bit more than half of 17.2, so 10 is a reasonable figure, so long as you don't want a precise figure
